Garlic Powder

Garlic powder is hygroscopic and will cake in a humid container if it is packed above specification moisture. We pack at 6% maximum in lined cartons, and for sea freight to tropical destinations we recommend an inner liner as standard rather than as an upsell.

What to fix on the specification

• Mesh: 80–100 standard.
• Moisture: 6% maximum, packed below the ceiling.
• Packing: lined cartons, with an inner liner for tropical sea freight.
• Colour and scorched particles.
• Microbiology, and the treatment if any.

This is one of the most hygroscopic items in the catalogue and will cake in a humid container if it is packed at the moisture ceiling rather than below it. Moisture and container rain covers the packing decisions.
